A Heart's Cry

As I have traveled and learned about African and Asian cultures, I discovered and am very concerned about all the woman who are dying because of childbirth complications. It's growing in numbers and needs to be addressed! I am determined to reach village women-- to help save them and the children from death.

Many women die from childbirth in both Africa & Asia, due to lack of medical facilities and attention they need in the time of their crisis. Most of these deaths could be prevented by medical education programs provided for the village women that would educate them on medical care, watching for warning signs and knowing how to handle the situation if it arises, getting medical attention during pregnancy in all women, and opening small clinics in villages, developing programs to present to leaders regarding insurance plans, or free medical care for all people in their country.

Women need to be taught simple classes on how to take better care of themselves during pregnancy, understand that physical checkups are vital in knowing if baby is growing fine in the womb, and to use the safest method in preparing and providing the safest birthing possible for her and her baby to be born. Plans that will guide her through the nine months, to receive medical care and to be checked before the baby is born so that the position of the baby can be known, which helps to plan a safe and healthy birth.

This would prevent deaths of neglected action in the part of the pregnant woman. This would help her know, and to to listen to medical doctors-- following medical instructions so that she should not run into causing her own death and the death of her baby.

With proper medical teams in villages, regular medical exams to ensure baby's health is stable, access to doctors, nurses, midwives, and medicines, proper care can be reached to help these women from medical disasters, and would help to bring birth with less threat to complications.

 Matthew 15: 21-28

Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and

worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Programs need to be put together by their own people who are trained medical staff and devoted to bringing this problem under control. This would help the village people to be more aware, to participate in classes where people can instruct them, because women need to be educated about their condition and know all aspects of pregnancy, the risks, and prevention. The doctors, nurses and midwives, who volunteer can go and teach local village doctors many women.

One idea I had that would work so well in this process, would be to take college students who are studying medical classes, who are willing to volunteer their internship, to work in village clinics and hospitals. This would not only give them experience in treating patients with medical care, this would also give free care to the people in the village. By volunteering time in studies, this cuts the cost of burden on the clinic doctors.

Student volunteers could be rewarded by a meal, and place to stay, and learn at the same time.

Doctor and Nurse volunteers are urgently needed in all African countries in clinics, and village hospitals to train them, so they can carry on this work, and learn modern ways to help in the medical clinics. It's very vital that we all get involved as we can and are able.

Then, after the training is done, the African and Asian people can carry on this work to help in these medical programs themselves.

Villages are most venerable and forgotten. They need to be reached and programs started to make a difference!

They desperately need improvement and updated medical needs with supplies, equipment, to more modern, for their clinics and hospitals. No, this job can not be done alone. It takes volunteer doctors, nurses too.

Midwives, and  companies who can donate medicines, supplies, equipment, and teach them how to use the equipment properly and how to calibrate them.. If we all do our part to help, we can make a real difference and save lives. Want to help

I have worked as a liaison with those who supply free medical supplies verses many clinics in Africa and Asia who are in need of those supplies. They are vital in helping to fulfill the needs of clinics to treat the people. I/m a medical assistant graduate and see the needs as I travel to many countries.

Many organizations give free medical equipment with the agreement that the clinics and hospitals pay the shipping cost.

Facts:

Nearly 600,000 women die from complications from pregnancy and childbirth--the equivalent of four jumbo jets full. (Women ages 15-49 in developing countries). Some survive, and from long-term illnesses from childbirth complications.

Maternal health care is intervention needed for these women. Of all the health statistics, monitored by World Health Organization, maternal mortality is affected greatly in developing countries.

We must act now, to save the children of our future and the women of Africa, and Asia (mothers, aunties and wives from preventable death).

Abortions alone kill more than 75,000 women annually. Because of many women who can't financially handle another child they choose abortion. And many women die from the procedure to have them.

Planned parenthood, birth control are ways women can prevent deaths and abortion. Family planning provides education, counseling, and treatment and helps stop the spread of disease. It also can help women to control the unwanted pregnancies.

Many women die because there is not adequate and safe medical faculties. Much needs to be done to help Africa and Asia in prevention of losing women and children.

1 Timothy 2:15 "Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."

God's Mercy In Nigeria:

A midwife who had problems bleeding during her prior pregnancy, shared this with me.

She was attending my meetings in Abuja. I told her some medical information to share with her doctor that would save her life.

She remembered what I said, and told her doctor. He performed the technique and saved her life. I was honored to anoint her son with oil and dedicate him to the Lord after he was born. Hallelujah!

I remember massaging a pregnant woman's back in Abuja, to relieve some of her discomfort at the end of her pregnancy. She was close to her delivery day. We prayed together and shared God.

She heard me preach in the mission in Abuja. I found out later that she died giving birth to her baby. Her friend emailed me to tell me. And now her friend is raising her baby. Her friend told me that she had died from bleeding to death.

It's so sad that women are not being cared for right by medical hospitals and doctors, while many of these situations could have been prevented--if handled properly.

Medical help is really needed all over Africa and Asia. This same problem exists in both parts of the world.

In my 8 months stay in Nigeria, I knew of so many women who died. Each time I heard of women dying from having a baby, I was more determined to do something to make changes.

I did get to talk to the President's Chaplain and to the Chief Physician of the President and some of his Advisors of the techniques and how to save the women.

Talking to them about a real need for medical insurance for the people and this could help prevent so many from being turned away from medical care, due to lack of money to pay for the services.

Many people are turned down in the emergency rooms, actually die because they do not have insurance. And how important insurance would be, for this would pay the cost for each person going to the hospital or to a clinic, and there would be less people turned away to die. AMEN

When I shared the medical techniques the president's chaplain's mouth dropped open and he said he never had anyone share this before! After that visit, when I visited the President's chapel at ASO ROCK CHAPEL, they escorted me to the VIP section.

I am just a lowly missionary. To me glory is not given to me, but to God AMEN :)

While by the President's house, by Aso Rock Chapel, I saw a giraffe in the President's yard. And beautiful peacocks too! Yes, a real giraffe! :)

God took me to the King and Queens of Nigeria LITERALLY! I had meetings with various Governors, (Imo State, and Ebonyi State). I even went into deep villages of Ikwa Ibom State and I had one king get down on his knees and take his Royal hat off & had me pray for him.

God did it all! When we can reach the leaders for Jesus this is great Praise God! AMEN  Proverbs 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
