My Testimony By Evangelist Donald Tasker

A warm hello to all my brothers and sisters and and a warm hello to who may read this and you may not yet know Jesus may this be a blessing to you. That God loves you and Jesus Christ is our only hope. 1 Cor. 2: 9 But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him.

I never came from a home where God was present I since I was a junior high school I was abused on a daily basis by my father who would come home every night between 12 am to 2 am and would then come to my room where I was beaten and told I would amount to nothing. I have 3 sisters and i brother but my eldest sister also suffered just like me. And I am proud to say that she is also a born again christian. after I finish high school I left home and I joined the United States Air Force, but I continued to suffer from fear from the abuse and like many I turned to drinking and drugs. 

In the year 1980 I moved to Japan where I taught english and I still kept on drinking and one night while I was in bed next to my girlfriend who was sleeping I looked up at at the foot of my bed I saw Jesus and I was so terrified. But I kept on drinking.

I came back to America in the year 1984 went to work in a casino and I continue to drink and live on the edge and didn't care about my life because I started to believe my father was right. Then I lost my job and next my apartment and then I reached my lowest point in my life. I became a homeless man and I lived on the streets. giving my blood to get $20.00 just to drink and do drugs, and when you are homeless you are looked down on by all people. I started to hate people and I didn't care anymore. For I was at my lowest point.

Then one day, I had been drinking very heavy and the man I was with wanted toleave Las vegas and go to Utah as for me, I didn't care anymore because I hatedlas vegas now. And we were to meet that night and we planned to jump ona freight train. I went at the time, but I waited and the man never showed up.

Then, another homeless man came to me and said, "I know where we can sleep,and all we have to do is go to a service so I went to the place with him". Soon as I walk through those doors--service was going on and their was a small band playing. I went to the back of the room. And singing, was two young ladies and they were singing about Jesus. I always knew about Jesus, but I never knew Jesus. And they were singing, and I kept hearing the words come out of their mouths that "Jesus loves you and he will accept you in any condition you are in". I got up, because I wanted what everyone else had. I went up closer, and then they began to say, "It does not matter what you have done or how far in sin you are, but that Jesus died for all sins and we all are sinners saved by the grace of God". Then, they asked is their anyone who wants to give their heart to Jesus, and I went up their in my condition, and I was drunk but when I accepted Christ. I was also filled with the Holy Spirit and I began to speak in a unknown tongue.

I joined that homeless ministry, and I was in love with Jesus. Then one day, as the service was about to begin, the speaker who was about to preach just froze and then he looked at me and called me up, but I said I don't know anything but others started saying, "Come on Donald" So, then I came up with my Bible in hand and as I opened my mouth. The anointing of God came all over me and I began to preach and others came to Christ.

I am happy to say, "I preached the last sermon in the place where I got saved".
I joined the ministry, and I have been involved for over 20 years in ministry for the homeless and those Iiving on the streets. Sharing the message that we all need to hear that, "Jesus Christ loves you". I have seen God move so many times through His healing, and I continue to see lives transformed by Jesus.

At this time Olgah was a member of our prayer group at Ministers For Jesus Prayer Group. She shared the following message to us...

Dear Ministers For Jesus: 
The past five months have been like a century in my life. Being in the hospital bed for that period has been like eternity. I have come to realize this; nothing makes the earth so spacious as to have friends at a distance. 
 
I want to thank all of you who have been sending me words of encouragements, best wishes, and kiss of love when I was almost dead. Because of you, I can count myself lucky for you contributed much to my reason of being alive today. Friends are like angels with only one wing, and we can fly only by embracing. 
 
To them that have also contributed towards my medication in one way or the other, I do say Thank you in a big way! May God bless you! I know the outstanding bill can still be recorded, but I know God will provide. My life is what is precious here. Thank you a great deal.
 
To the owner of this group, Rev Cathryn, May God bless you abundantly. You were a pillar to my husband Francis, encouraging him not to loose faith, but to fight till the end.  Surely that is what a soldier in the Lord should do, May God bless you. I know the group members were sending prayers on my behalf, and that’s why I felt of saying thank you. I know that wont be enough, but May God Himself bless you all according to His riches in glory.  
 
My recovery is a Live testimony that through Prayers (and especially through Unity) there is a Miracle. How blessed it is when brethren sit together in one accord Psa: 133:1-3. There is a great blessing.  
 
For them that may have promised something, and didnt get a chance to fulfill, you owe me one great thing..."keep our friendship alive". Friends are like money in the bank, longer you keep them, the more they are worth. 
 
I know you will keep me in your prayers, so that I can regain my strength and have a full life. Once again, thank you and May our good Lord bless you abundantly.
